Samson should have known. Three times Delilah had acted on the false information he gave her, attempting to bring him under the power of her people. Now he had finally broken down and told her the truth. He should have known she would act on it. Did he not believe his own words, “If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as anyone else” (vs. 17)? More to the point, are there things in my life that so absorb my attention that I don’t realize the LORD’s presence or lack thereof? Please pray that I won’t be so busy working on the Kafa Bible, or trying to keep good communication with prayer and financial partners, or even just coping with the daily demands of life, that I fail to recognize and bask in the LORD’s presence!
