Computer Problems

The Banna translation computer was sent back to Toshiba for repair. They found it infested with ants (!), who had destroyed the hard drive, system board and CD-ROM. Since ant damage isn’t covered by warranty, we paid more than half of the original price of the computer to have new hard drive, system board and CD-ROM put in. It is now ready to return to Ethiopia. We are told to give thanks in all things, and it does make an amusing anecdote! We plan to keep it in its case surrounded by moth balls when not in use, and we’re looking for "ant bait" to get rid of any little gluttons who think of computer parts as a delicacy.
